Charitable GivingYour charitable gifts enable us to make our services available to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. They help to bridge the gap between reimbursement and actual costs. Yolo Hospice is grateful for all the support we receive. To find a way to give that suits you best, please review some of the options below. General Donations:One of the simplest ways to give is with cash, securities, personal property, real estate, life insurance or other assets. We accept donations by mail, by phone, online and in person. You will receive a receipt for very gift you make to Yolo Hospice -- regardless of how big or small -- to facilitate filing your tax-free gift to us. Please call us to discuss these options. If you would simply like to donate now you may: Yolo Hospice PO Box 1014 Davis, CA 95617 Honoring or Memorializing Loved OnesContributions in memory or in recognition of a special person are a very personal way to donate. Family members often suggest memorial gifts be made to Yolo Hospice in lieu of flowers in funeral notices or ask that gifts be made to remember loved ones on birthdays or other special day. Just attach a note to your contribution listing the honoree’s name. We acknowledge gifts to family members and honorees as long as we have their contact information. Monthly Gift ClubMonthly donations help give Yolo Hospice a solid base of dependable income, which enables us to plan our activities for the year with confidence. Convenient monthly giving also enables you to make your donation in easy-to-manage amounts. Yolo Hospice will send you one tax receipt for the total amount of your donation for the year. At your request, we will discontinue sending you our general solicitation letters, but you will continue to receive other informational mailings like the newsletter. Yolo Hospice Heritage CircleA unique giving opportunity created to recognize and celebrate donors who include Yolo Hospice in their estate plans - whether by will, trust, insurance or life income arrangement. Planned gifts can fulfill immediate needs or endowed to ensure Yolo Hospice services continue for future generations. This is an opportunity for our donors to create their own legacies.Examples of planned giving include:
Most of planned gift options require consultation with the donor's personal legal and financial advisors. Of course, the simplest planned gift is to remember Yolo Hospice in your will or estate. Friends of Yolo HospiceThe Friends of Yolo Hospice is a volunteer auxiliary group that promotes community awareness, and develops and implements ideas for fundraising activities. The group helps with plan annual funding raising events and speaks to groups on behalf of Yolo Hospice. Some volunteers are not able to give a specific time commitment when volunteering. For these volunteers, working on special events can provide a more flexible time schedule. Possibilities in this category include:
Payroll GivingYolo Hospice is a proud Certified Partner Agency of the United Way. If your employer or community participates in the United Way campaign, you can direct your contribution to Yolo Hospice by designating #3172.Event SponsorshipEvery year members of the community support Yolo Hospice by organizing special events like golf tournaments, pasta feeds, fashion shows and Oktoberfest celebrations. Individuals, businesses, civic groups, and faith organizations contribute sponsorships to help ensure the success of these special events. Please consult with Hospice staff about sponsorship opportunities and their tax-deductible value.Yolo Hospice Thrift StoreYou can support the Yolo Hospice Thrift Store in several ways: donating quality goods, volunteer, shop there, and encourage others to donate and shop there. Since 1991, the Yolo Hospice Thrift Store has been a fixture in our community. Located on Main Street in Woodland, the Thrift Store features boutique quality goods at thrift store prices. Rare collectible items; designer label and vintage clothing; and high-end furniture are usually on display. The Thrift Store is open from 10 am—5:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday and 12 pm—4 pm on Sunday. Call the yolo Hospice Thrift Store for more information at 530-668-1599.
