Bilingual Counselor

Hours: Flexible, 10/week

Current opening for bilingual (Spanish-English) grief counselor. Must have proven knowledge and experience in applied grief and loss theory and bereavement therapy concepts. Previous counseling experience a must. Per diem position. Submit cover letter and resume to:

Position requires the following:

Participate in review and amendment of on-going bereavement plan of care for bilingual (Spanish-English) and Spanish speaking individuals.

Determine appropriateness and adequacy of counseling sessions for bilingual (Spanish-English) and Spanish speaking individuals.

Plan and conduct appropriate individual, group and family short-term counseling to assigned Yolo Hospice bilingual (Spanish-English) and Spanish speaking family members and community clients according to the individualized plan of care for each.

Participate in needs assessment for development of culturally appropriate bereavement services for bilingual individuals and families.

Identify and locate culturally appropriate bereavement literature for bereavement services department, including development of lending library materials.

Identify and locate culturally appropriate, therapeutically supportive materials intended for the provision of counseling services to bilingual and Spanish-speaking children and adolescents.
